Kwabena is the Regional Director for Africa at Ignitia, a deep tech company specializing in high resolution, AI-driven weather forecasts optimized for tropical regions. Prior to joining Ignitia, he was the Director of Operations at Esoko, a technology company committed to improving the welfare of rural communities by empowering them and the businesses that serve them – through mobile networks and technology. He led the deployment of large field teams for data collection to establish the Social Registry for Social Protection Programs in Ghana and Liberia. He has also been a Consultant for GIZ Project Sustainable Smallholder Agribusiness and Touton SA, where he ran economic analysis on additional livelihoods support for cocoa farmers, established the concept of implementation, and developed thirteen producer reference manuals to help cocoa farmers. He holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Hohenheim, Germany where he was a DAAD Scholar.
