Prof. Joseph Kwadwo Tuffour holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Economics, specializing in Development Economics and Public Sector Economics. He is currently an Associate Professor in Applied Economics and Acting Director, Research and Consultancy Centre, of the University of Professional Studies, Accra. He has been a Development Economist, Small Business Development expert, and Socio-Economic Researcher for over 15 years. He has 25 academic publications in refereed journals, co-authored two books on Business statistics, and professionally written many reports. His specific areas of expertise include Youth Development, International Macroeconomic Policy Issues and Analysis, Small Business Economics and management, corporate governance, and firm outcomes, among others. In addition, he is experienced in survey design, data collection, and analysis, as well as student research mentoring and academic program development. Prof. Tuffour is a Fellow Certified Economist with the Chartered Institute of Economists-Ghana, a member of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) network of Facilitators (for Public Sector Economics on the Collaborative Master of Arts Programme and PhD program, Kenya), and a Board Member of Youth Opportunity and Transformation in Africa (YOTA, formerly YES-Ghana). He is also a Pastor of the Dispensational Gospel Mission.
