Robert is a Sustainable agricultural value chain and capacity building expert with more than 20 years of experience in international development project management, value chains development and capacity building. He is a skilled professional in managing complex and large teams, agribusiness/ value chains and environmental conservation programs, and has built and implemented many Sustainable value chain programs in Africa. Robert is currently the Country Director of IDH Ghana and in the past, served as Country Agricultural Sustainability Manager (Barry Callebaut Group-West Africa), Country Representative /Country Technical Expert DGIS(IFDC), Country Coordinator USAID WAFP (IFDC), Sustainability Manager (Solidaridad West Africa), Farmer Extension Specialist (IITA), Senior Program Officer (CARE international) and among other roles for development programs and impact in Ghana and with regional remit support to other geographies in West Africa. Over a distinguished career, Robert has acquired a lengthy track record of results-based management through effective cost leadership, budget management, technical implementation, strong interpersonal, supervisory skills of large and complex teams. Robert has an excellent understanding of the problems and potential across the value chains. He is passionate individual with a global outlook, with an interest to make a difference (to scale and impact) across geographies, value chains and businesses. Robert is open for partnerships that will create systemic transformational changes in value chains for businessess, communities and smallholder farmers in Africa.
